Science and Industry

The paintings are based on photographs taken in Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry. Like standing inside a dark, cavernous cathedral and looking up at the soft patterns of gem-like stained glass, colors of light break into the darkness. This series of paintings is about light in the darkness, light shining like stained glass on the industrious people and machines pictured—whether they like it or not; whether they know it or not.
