Natural History
These paintings have the American Museum of Natural History as their setting. They were initially insipired by St. John of the Cross's book "Dark Night of the Soul" and Odillon Redon's paintings of the inside of cathedrals. I explored the imagery in graduate school, started the paintings in 2004 and finished them in 2006.
